Palestinian Banking Institute
A non-profit institution established by a decision of the Palestinian Monetary Authority and in cooperation with the banking sector in Palestine in 1999. Its headquarters is in Ramallah. Its general assembly includes 14 members representing the Palestinian Monetary Authority and banks operating in Palestine. Its board of directors, consisting of 9 members, is chaired by His Excellency Dr. Firas Melhem, Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority.
The Institute aims to disseminate financial and banking sciences, train, build and develop the capabilities of banking and financial staff in Palestine
Since its establishment, the Institute has succeeded in training about 28,000 banking and financial cadres through the implementation of 1,641 training programs. It enjoys the trust and care of the Palestinian Monetary Authority, all banks operating in Palestine, and members of its general assembly. It has all the capabilities to hold training programs, whether in its general headquarters in Ramallah or the Gaza branch, and it holds its programs in all home provinces
